Hitman GO: VR Edition is a turn-based puzzle game, built on a beautiful table-top VR experience. You play the role of an assassin who’s missions range from stealthy reaching an objective undetected or taking out a marked target. Hitman GO is already a successful franchise, and the VR Edition has been reimagined with space, comfort and accessibility in mind. Head-tracking movement, simple, intuitive controls and an abstract yet immersive VR environment allow for a completely new experience. The game features all 91 levels, including all content updates (Opera, Airport and St. Petersburg boxes). There are no in-app purchases.
This game is available on Oculus Home.
I really enjoyed Hitman GO: VR Edition. I had never played the mobile game, so I’m not sure how to compare the two, but I think the environments and gameplay works great in VR. I did run into a few cases where moving the map around to see my character seemed wonky, but I think you would experience something similar in 2D as well, in fact VR may be easier since you can move you head around to adjust your view.
It’s a great game if you like puzzles or games involving a lot of thinking ahead. I really enjoyed it and still have lots more content until I finish it. I haven’t decided if I’m going to replay the earlier levels to get the extra achievements. I may, as they would likely get easier after playing the game a while and getting “good” at it. So the game does offer some replayability on top of the robust amount of content.
